Taylor Swift Cancels Bangkok Concert After Coup

BANGKOK (AP) - Taylor Swift has canceled a sold- out concert in Thailand, which was under military rule last week after a coup.

The BEC Tero concert promoter announced Tuesday on its website that the concert was canceled "due to recent events in Thailand.” He did not elaborate, but said the move “a difficult decision for all parties.”

The concert in Bangkok would have been the night of June 9. The country is under a night curfew though loosely enforced.

"I’ll send my love to the fans in Thailand, “Swift on Twitter.”I am very sad about the concert was canceled. "

The singer-songwriter has other performances throughout Asia during their current tour Red.

Several other international artists have canceled or postponed appearances in Thailand during the last months of political protests and coup carried out last Thursday.

Meredith is in the dog house now! Taylor Swift beloved cat tested his limits on Monday May 5, when the first letter was being equipped for Met ball tonight.

“That moment when your cat casually approaching, then abruptly attacked her satin custom Oscar de la Renta gown during the fitting for Met Ball, " the singer of "Red", 24, tweeted.

The dress was to be worn on the biggest night of fashion, starting with A -List arrivals at 6 pm EST, giving less than four hours between your tweet and when you are supposed to walk down the red carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Swift was seen on Saturday May 3 with pal Karlie Kloss and actress Kate Bosworth at Gala Pre- Party Harry Met Josh at the Jane Hotel in New York, with a sleeveless dress Clementine.

No word yet if their formal clothes for the Monday night event was permanently damaged by the antics of Meredith, or if she will have to make a costume change last minute.
